Over the last couple months a lot of names dropped in what were popular categories in 2007. A lot of tv.tv names dropped, a lot of channel.tv dropped, a lot of non pure Geo dropped like CitySTabbreviation.tv.
So it seems like the highest quality .tv are being sought, everything else is being dropped and certainly the aftermarket in the domainer to domainer area is an absolute joke. Outside of Geo being sought (AND ON THE CHEAP BECAUSE NO GROUP OF PEOPLE ON THIS PLANET ARE CHEAPER THAN DOMAINERS IMO) there is little interest in any area. Last week two LLL.tv with non premium pricing sold for $410 and $150, showing that spending time in the domainer to domainer sales area is the biggest waste of time any literate human being could imagine.

Took a little longer to get back, so Happy New Year to all, hope everyone enjoyed and had a Happy Holiday Season. Overall the whole domain business feels boring as hell. We will try to find where there is some action and somethings that are worthwhile.

Thanks to Mr.Rhee from Namepros, he put together a list of all the .tv sites in the ALEXA Top 1 million. http://www.dailytopmillion.com/index.cgi?sort=&string=&position=start&tld=tv
A lot of Adult and Anime sites using the .tv extension looking at the list.
There is good variety from those using top notch premium names, to those using made up and brandable .tv names.
Have fun and check it out.

Fleaking a member of Namepros.com .tv subforum, posted that he sold the domain for $4000 a couple weeks ago. A nice sale for him and nice to see a three word .tv sell for $4000.

Last week Verisign and Enom put out a PR about being committed to the .tv extension. Enom will continue to run the retail side.
What do you think about ENOM staying on.
In the press release Verisign stated, "More than 7,000 premium .tv names are currently registered—a 40 percent increase in premium .tv sales this past year."
That seems a little strange with the increase in the premium pricing. How will the economy affect premium pricing? You now have .com becoming more affordable as some lower their price to get liquid. As .com becomes more affordable will that bring .tv premium registration down ?

I have been a little out of it since last week, had oral surgery and was not feeling great after so took a time out. Michael at Development.tv posted this first so make sure you check out Development.tv daily.
.tv showed strong quarter over quarter gains and Verisign stated that .tv was the fifth most recognized extension in the US from a survey conducted in July.

I see recently with the market down and the economy in the tank, people talking about the stock market in domain forums. If you are taking investment advice from the idiots in stock chat boards you are stupid, taking investment advice from a domain forum is the definition of absolute insanity.
You will read these people telling you what the market is going to do at the same time they are trying to sell a domain for $10. Do your own homework and seek proper financial advice with websites that have people who do real research.
